We are located at 4120 Martin Luther King Jr Way Oakland, CA 94609.

VoxBody Studio is an 18+ space. Anyone attending an event should have their ID on them for age verification at check-in.

VoxBody Studio is wheelchair accessible with an ADA bathroom. We are on street level. There are no stairs / steps in the studio.

ARRIVAL TIMES:

* Check an event page for arrival times! They do vary slightly according to the type of event. Email us well ahead of time if you are not sure! Once doors are “closed/locked”, they truly are (it’s a layout and safety thing). Please plan your travel time accordingly!

For all classes: class start time is listed on the event flyer and on the event page. Unless otherwise stated on the event page, doors open 15 minutes prior to class start time and are locked/no late entry 15 minutes after class start time.

For Beginner Rope Jams: Doors open at 7pm. Doors close and event starts at 7:30pm.

For all other rope jams: Jams start/doors open at the time listed on the event flyer and event page. Doors close 1.5 hours into the jam.

STUDIO HOURS:

VoxBody Studio is open when there is an event on the calendar. We don’t keep public studio hours otherwise.

We check and respond to emails Monday - Friday 9am-1pm. Please note: we do not check emails on weekends.

Your best bet for in-person purchases from our store is during an Easy Sundays or Tie by Night Rope Jam, or before/after an event that you attend. You can always purchase through the webshop and select local pick-up at check out to avoid shipping costs.

GETTING HERE:

Head to the door and windows to your left as you approach the building. Look for the Ring doorbell.

No need to print your tickets! We will need the name(s) on your ticket at check-in, or to see the QR code on your phone.

If you want to pay cash at the door, make sure the event is not sold out before heading over. Sold out online means sold out in person, too!

MacArthur BART Station is 900ft / a 5 min walk away. Schedule and info can be found here.  Trains run until 1am Monday-Saturday and until 9pm on Sundays. The station has locked bike parking, a 24-hr paid parking lot and a baywheels dock

Here is a brief, sweet reel that takes you through the walk from Macarthur station to our front door!

Parking on the street can be a bit limited (better on weekends). We suggest allowing some extra travel time to find a parking spot.

As always when parking on a city street, never leave any visible belongings in your car.

BIKE RIDERS:

We cannot accommodate bikes parked inside; we simply don’t have the space (and want to avoid tracking street dirt inside the studio).

There are 2 bike racks in front of the studio, as well as down the block at Arthur Macs, which is a fairly high traffic spot with pedestrians/visibility. Lots of people do ride their bikes to the studio and we haven't received one report of trouble or vandalism in more than three years.
